Luna, Border Collie mix (3 y/o), Prince & Greene St., New York, NY • “She’s a rescue from Mexico – we’ve had her for about two years. She really enjoys tanning, so I’ll catch her up on our windowsill basking in the sun. She’s also so used to the air conditioning now that she hates being outside, so for our morning walks she hides behind the couch for 20 minutes. She’s very smart – she picks up on things so quickly, and it’s a lot of fun just to see her learn about her environment.” @luneylovegoodnyc, a rescue via @howlsrescue

Yoshi, Schipperke, Newtown Ln & Park Pl, East Hampton, NY • “He’s feisty, but he’s also very sweet. He’s clever, and he’s a scavenger. He’s scrappy when he goes to the dog park with the big dogs. Schipperkes were Flemish boat dogs.”

Jax, Chihuahua/Dachshund mix (9 y/o), Spring & W Broadway, New York, NY • “He’s super friendly and loving, and he loves babies. They can pull his tail, they can smack him in the face. He also loves salmon – he inhales it. During COVID, we’d walk like nine miles together, not a problem. And then he’d wanna play.”
